Meet Our Pastors!
Bob & Judy Cholette
Pastor Robert (Bob) Cholette has served as Lead Pastor of Troy Assembly of God since February 1, 1990. Prior to coming to Troy, he spent two years on the pastoral staff of Western Michigan Teen Challenge, followed by six years as Lead Pastor of Cornerstone Assembly of God in Beulah, Michigan, where he led the congregation through a season of significant growth and expansion. Before those roles, Pastor Bob served three years in youth ministry, developing a lifelong passion for reaching the next generation with the Gospel.
Pastor Bob and his wife Judy have been married since 1976 and are blessed with four adult sons, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Family is central to their lives and ministry, reflecting their commitment to faith, legacy, and discipleship.
Pastor Bob’s vision is to lead people to the only One who brings true hope and new life—Jesus Christ. Through preaching, teaching, and worship, his heart is to see believers grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ and to walk fully in all that God has purposed and planned for their lives.
Scott and Kellie DeClaire
God led Scott and Kellie to Troy in 1991 and they immediately connected with Pastor Bob and Judy and the church. They have served at Troy since then except for 3 years 1996-1998, where they served as Youth Pastor at a local Assemblies of God Church. After these 3 years God called them back to Troy to serve as Assistant Pastor. Scott and Kellie work with the Youth Group and they help lead Prophetic Worship and Intercession. Scott also preaches from time to time, and Kellie serves on the praise team and leads worship. Scott and Kellie have been married since 1989. They have 4 married children and 8 grandchildren. They both love to help God’s people walk in victory and freedom and help God’s people grow closer to the Lord.
Jed & Tracy Durrant
Jed and Tracy have been part of the Troy Assembly of God family since 1997 and have faithfully served the church in a variety of ways over the years. Jed currently serves as an Associate Pastor, focusing on Home Groups and Pastoral Care. Together, Jed and Tracy also lead the Prime Timers ministry, a vibrant group designed to foster fellowship, encouragement, and community among the seasoned members of the congregation ages 60 and above. They enjoy creating opportunities for people to stay connected, grow in their faith, and experience the joy of meaningful friendships within the church family.
Tracy also serves the church as the Administrative Assistant, supporting many of the day-to-day ministries that help the church operate smoothly and effectively.
Jed and Tracy have been married for 34 years and are blessed with two adult children and three grandchildren who bring great joy to their lives. Their heart for caring for others extends far beyond the walls of the church. As licensed foster parents, they have opened their home to more than 25 foster children over the past 14 years, offering love, stability, and encouragement during important seasons in those children’s lives.
Whether through church ministry, foster care, or everyday relationships, Jed and Tracy share a deep passion for serving others and reflecting the love of Christ in practical ways. Their desire is to see lives strengthened, families encouraged, and people drawn closer to Jesus through genuine community and compassionate care.
Vince & Pam Nader
Vince and Pam Nader serve as Intercessory Pastors at Troy Assembly of God, partnering with the heart of our Senior Pastor to see the church established as a true House of Prayer (Matthew 21:13).
Through prayer, they believe God’s people are called to align with His will—boldly declaring and releasing His purposes in the earth, according to His promise (1 John 5:14).
As the church stands together in prayer, the plans of the enemy are dismantled (2 Corinthians 10:4) and a great harvest is released for the glory of God.
Logan & Kimberly Mong
Logan has been serving at Troy Assembly since summer 2015 assisting in the youth, children, and sound team ministries. He was added to the staff at TAG on May 2021 and became the Children’s Ministries Director on November 2023. Kimberly grew up at Troy Assembly and has been serving since 2013. She introduced Logan to Troy Assembly in September 2014 and Logan has been attending Troy Assembly ever since. They both met at college in August 2014 and they got married on July 9th, 2021. Logan and Kim recently had identical twin girls named Leeanne and Bethany at the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. They desire the young generation to be introduced to the real Jesus; transformed through the love and grace of Jesus Christ; and to fulfill their God given assignment.
Joel & Merin George
Pastor Joel serves as an Associate Pastor at Troy, where he leads the Youth Ministry and oversees Media and Technology. Joel and his wife, Merin, were married in 2015. Merin was born in India and has lived in the United States since 2016. The Lord has blessed their family with three wonderful children, and they enjoy spending time together and being involved in the life of the church. Together, they are passionate about investing in the next generation and helping students grow in their faith. They love building meaningful relationships and walking alongside young people as they navigate life, encouraging them to build a strong foundation in God’s Word and develop a personal relationship with Jesus.
Before joining the Troy church family, Joel served as a pastor at a local congregation, where he gained experience in teaching, discipleship, and pastoral care. His heart for ministry is to see lives transformed by the gospel and to help people grow deeper in their relationship with Christ.
Together, Joel and Merin share a passion for reaching people—especially youth and young families—and creating spaces where genuine relationships can grow. They believe ministry happens not only from the pulpit but also through everyday conversations, encouragement, and simply living out Christ’s love. Their prayer is that through their lives and ministry, people will come to know Jesus and experience the hope and joy found in Him.
